MUSIC
Gabrielle's musical journey started by learning piano at the age of 5. She was taught the Suzuki method, which promotes learning by ear and developing musicianship aurally. This sparked Gabrielle’s interest in improvisation and by the age of 11, she was studying as a junior exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music in London as a composer, pianist, bassoonist and singer.
Gabrielle was awarded a scholarship to Uppingham School in 2003, where she was taught composition and piano by Alexis Ffrench before moving to London in 2005 to study at Trinity College of Music and Goldsmiths College. After completing her undergraduate degree, Gabrielle returned to the Royal College of Music in 2010 to study for a Master's in Composition for Film. She was awarded the Clifton Parker Scholarship and specialised in writing music for film, as well as orchestration and conducting.
